WWE Raw Roulette Review (27/06/2011)

RAW kicks off with Shawn Michaels saying that he's not here to plug another TV Show like many of the celebrity guest hosts, and says he's not going to tell you that his new show, Shawn Michaels: MacMillan River adventures debuts the following Tuesday night. Michaels gets interupted by CM Punk who mocks Shawn Michaels about leaving WWE having lost his last match against The Undertaker and says that he however will leave with a win. HBK says that the reason people cheer for him is because he is better than CM Punk. Punk then interprets that as a challenge, Michaels dodges the bullet. David Otunga gets hit with a little sweet chin music.

Michael Cole announces that CM Punk has the first match on RAW roullette. Booker T introduces the roulette wheel. After a spin, the wheel stops on "?" and Booker names Kane as CM Punk's opponent.
Segment Rating: /-) Good

Kane vs. CM Punk, after a decent showing, Punks walks out of the ring and you can hear him say "What are they going to do? Fire Me?" and ends up getting counted out from the match.
Segment Rating: /-) Good

Next up was the match that should have taken place last week on RAW: Sin Cara vs. Evan Bourne. Nice high flying action here, probably could have been a little longer. Sin Cara picks up the win with the spinning headscissor plant.
Segment Rating: /-) Good

Kofi kingston is with Booker T at the roulette wheel and gets to spin the wheel, which lands on "Player's Choice" and Kofi chooses to have the match with Dolph Ziggler and have Vickie banned from ringside, which by the way is what he voted for last week. Kind of made me think it was another correction match from last week.
Segment Rating: /-| Meh

Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler yet again & Kofi picks up the win against the United States Champion. Good match overall. Still don't think the US Championship is as over as it should be.
Segment Rating: /-I Acceptable

Booker T is at the roulette wheel and Alberto & Maryse have a little flirt as the wheel lands on a Steel Cage match for Alberto vs. Bigshow. Booker T is pure jokes /-) laughing at Alberto Del Rio's luck.
Segment Rating: /-) Good

Alberto Del Rio vs. Bigshow. Pretty standard match, then Mark Henry shows up and does his spot where he rips the cage door open, and the commentators react as though its never ever happened before. Has it? Alberto picks up the win by escape via the door. On a side note, it really pisses me off that Alberto has been in so many matches in the past several months where he's won due to some stupidity involving run-ins and distractions. I'm a firm believer that he has the ability to be a top star and can get wins through his wrestling ability, and it would help his credibility, i'm just saying. I'm pretty sure he'd wipe the floor with The Miz if it came down to it. After the match, Mark Henry rams the door into the Bigshow, who crashes through the cage wall. Highlight for me had to be when Mark Henry responded to the "You Suck!" chants with: "Yeah I suck, but I'm over here, you over dere!"
Segment Rating: /-) Good

Kelly Kelly vs. Nikki Bella. Submission Match. No that wasn't a tyypo. After a lot of moaning and 2 minutes Kelly Kelly locks in the Walls of Jericho (Boston Crab) onto Nikki Bella and she taps out. End of. Oh and Eve Torres comes in for the save after a double team attempt on Kelly Kelly.
Segment Rating: /-s Meh

Booker T: "Tell Me, I didn't just see that!" DDP turns up to plug the Very Best of Nitro DVD, and they get interupted by Drew McIntyre, who says that these relics need to leave within 10 minutes, or they'll end up leaving on a strecher. SWEET CHIN MUSIC to Drew McIntyre from Shawn Michaels, who asks to see the DVD and says that he absolutely didn't get a chance to see any of that because he was working. Nice nostalgic segment here.
Segment Rating: /-) Good

Tornado Tag Team Match: Rey Mysterio & Alex Riley vs. The Miz & Jack 'lack of' Swagger. Nice long match here, after some combo finishers from Rey Mysertio and Riley who pick up the win.
Segment Rating: /-) Good

R-Truth has the wheel spinning and it lands on a tables match againt John Cena. After a good showing, R-Truth picks up the win due to the distraction from CM Punk.
Segment Rating: /-) Good

After the main event is over, CM Punk grabs the microphone and cuts the dirtiest promo we've heard in years. What seemed to be a shoot on the WWE, Vince McMahon and the way the company is run is cut short after CM Punk's microphone is cut off, Punk shout's "You want to silence me?" and RAW is cut off the air with no signature in the bottom corner of the screen. Historic moment. Mark out moment.
Segment Rating: /-D AWE INSPIRINGLY AWESOME!
